This is a blog about Clube do Remo and football in the north of Brazil, written by someone who grew up going to Baenão and thinks the Amazon’s biggest derby deserves to be written about in English. Matchday notes, club history, the money side of supporting a regional team, and whatever else the Leão does that week. Some of it is memory, some of it is argument, and some of it is written on the bus home with the result still stinging. It started as notes for friends in other countries and turned into this. There is no schedule beyond the next game, and the posts go up late. I don’t work for the club, I’ve never worked in football, and nobody pays me for any of this. I just never stopped caring.
